Amino acid, gout drug mend smokers' artery damage
researchers in Ireland examined what effect vitamin C and taurine--an amino acid found in many types of fish--had on blood vessel function.
In the second study, US researchers found that a drug called
allopurinol restored normal vessel function in smokers.
