Issue Closed...NOT!

I just caught this headline: Bush Considers Iraq Uranium Issue Closed (Chicago Trib registration req'd)

Bush considers the matter closed, said White House spokesman Ari Fleischer. "The president has moved on," he said.

In a carefully scripted mea culpa, the White House on Friday blamed the CIA for its January misstep, with Bush saying the CIA had reviewed his address and did not raise any alarms. Tenet finished the job hours later with a dramatic statement accepting responsibility.

Because Bush has moved on, makes it so?? Because Bush won't discuss his cocaine use, or his (lack of) military service makes it so?? Sorry...I don't think his little authoritarian ash will get away with this one. He is ultimately responsible for fact checking what he is sworn under oath to provide to the world. He lied, he knew it, people died, and this time he's not going to shrug it away with a refusal to talk about it! This lie will not be subject to simple authoritarian evasion.
