Human beings will be happier - not when they cure cancer or get to Mars or eliminate racial prejudice or flush Lake Erie but when they find ways to inhabit primitive communities again. That's my utopia.

Copied straight from This Modern World

Two sides can play that game

From (This Modern World) reader Mark Finch:

You no doubt know of Dan Burton, the perennial thorn in Bill Clinton's side who happens to be a member of the House of Representatives from Indiana

He has a poll on his web page at the moment , asking whether the reader supports or opposes attacking Iraq. A couple of days ago, those opposed led narrowly 53% to 47%. Today, all of a sudden, those in favor of war have 80% of the votes.

I suspect that a concentrated effort is being made by the pro-war forces to skew the results. For what it's worth, one can apparently cast a vote as many times as one wants. (Did someone say "unscientific?")

Do with that what you will.

Update: Burton's poll is now running solidly against the war.
